About Me
My name is Dr. Alessandro Romano, and I am an Italian-born cardiologist currently practicing in the United Kingdom. I graduated in Medicine and Surgery in Italy and completed my specialization in Cardiology, before continuing my clinical and professional development in the UK healthcare system.
I have over 15 years of experience working in both NHS hospitals and private clinics, with a particular focus on clinical cardiology, cardiovascular prevention, heart failure management, hypertension, ischemic heart disease, and cardiac arrhythmias. My practice follows international, evidence-based guidelines, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and long-term outcomes.
Throughout my career in the UK, I have adopted a holistic and patient-centred approach, integrating lifestyle medicine, early diagnosis, and personalized treatment plans. I strongly believe that informed patients play a key role in managing cardiovascular disease and improving quality of life.
Working within the British healthcare model has allowed me to develop strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills and to integrate digital health tools and telemedicine into daily clinical practice, improving access and continuity of care.
My professional mission is to support each patient with clarity, scientific rigor, and compassion, helping them understand their condition and take an active role in protecting their heart health.
